Poor Sally Metcalfe has been locked away for a crime she didn’t commit on ITV’s Coronation Street. But in the meantime, her sister Gina has developed feelings for her husband Tim.
In upcoming scenes set to kick off in the lead up to Christmas on the ITV soap, Gina and Tim will grow closer. And in a shocking turn of events, a drunk Tim even ends up planting a kiss on his sister-in-law. However, it looks as though it won’t be all hearts and flowers for troubled Gina in the coming weeks.
Things start to amp up in a few weeks time when money troubles hit the family due to Sally’s legal fees. Sophie suggests to Tim that he sells his half of Street Cars but he’s reluctant. In the end, much to Sophie’s surprise, he puts Number 4 on the market. Tim then invites Gina to move in with him which delights her.
A few days later after a drunken night at the Street Cars Christmas party at the Bistro, Tim announces that Sally did him wrong and he’ll do the same to her. Later, he climbs onto the fire escape on Victoria Street before Gina gets him down.
He does admit that he misses Sally but back at home, he thanks Gina for being there for him and ends up giving her a kiss.
But viewers will have to wait to see how she reacts. Connie also spoke about why Gina has been acting the way she has, and that none of it as been “planned” by the character
