Coronation Street spoilers: Kate and Rana wedding plans destroyed by shock arrival of ex?

CORONATION STREET’S Rana Nazir has had a difficult year so far, after leaving her husband and revealing she was in love with Kate Connor, she has had to suffer being shunned by her family. Nevertheless, she asked girlfriend Kate Connor to marry her – but when an ex-lover shows up, their engagement won’t quite go to plan.

Coronation Street viewers saw Kate and Rana propose to one another earlier this week. However ‘Kana’ could soon be in trouble as Kate’s ex, Imogen Pascoe is due to make a reappearance. It comes after soap spoiler pictures have shown the actress on set filming a few episodes which will be shown before Christmas.

Imogen’s arrival in Weatherfield is tipped to be the catalyst in ‘Kana’s’ relationship, but what exactly does she want with her ex-lover? There are hurdles ahead but the engagement and Kate and Rana’s love for each other are the real deal.

“Imogen acts as a catalyst for the pair reuniting, dealing with with the issues that have arisen between them and moving forwards with their relationship,” the insider added.

But whilst Imogen will try and smooth out any issues in their relationship, it seems Kate is hell bent on destroying it in her quest for a baby. Fans will soon see Kate make some major mistakes as she desperately tries to find a way to have a child, despite Rana’s reluctance.

Spoilers have already suggested Kate will ask Robert Preston to be a sperm donor. It comes after Michelle Connor shut down Robert’s plea to have a child together, but how will she feel about him fathering Kate and Rana’s baby?

The situation is also set to get more difficult when Kate goes a step further and attempts to seduce Adam Barlow. Driven by her grief for Aidan Connor Kate risks everything, thinking falling pregnant will solve her issues. The source added: “She’s out of her mind with grief for Aidan and thinks she’s lost Rana.
