Coronation Street legend David Platt has finally moved on with his life after his horrific raope ordeal at the hands of Josh Tucker. The Coronation Street cast member was attacked by Josh earlier this year, leading him to lash out at enemy Gary Windass, which landed him behind bars.
During his time in prison, David lashed out at cellmate Paul Foreman after he tried to get him out of bed, but the pair eventually became friends. But while they got along inside, David doesn’t want to be remind of that period of his life, as he was still traumatised by his assault.
A source told The Sun: “David isn’t going to know what to do when he sees Paul. He and Paul got on well in prison but David doesn’t want to think about that time. So when he sees him on the cobbles he’s confused and horrified. What will David to do when Paul arrives in Weatherfield?
He has been trying to put his ordeal in the past as he even asked his girlfriend Shona Ramsey to marry him a few months ago. While she said no for now, fans are convinced it won’t be long until the pair tie the knot.
But Jack has previously hinted he has hit his limit, as he told Coronation Street Updates: “I’ve been in the show for 18 years now and played every single storyline you could possibly play. Ultimately in soaps I think if it does change the character then you must see what you want from the character.
