DANCING ON ICE 2019 fans were stunned last night when Gemma Collins was eliminated from the competition. The TOWIE star took a slight swipe at her fellow female competitors on This Morning earlier today.
Dancing On Ice said goodbye to Gemma Collins last night after she lost out in the skate-off to Ryan Sidebottom. The TOWIE diva was admittedly quite happy to be leaving the competition, acknowledging it was her time.
Gemma appeared on This Morning earlier today to discuss her exit. She spoke to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about some of the more challenging aspects of the show.
Specifically, the team talked about Jason Gardiner and all the issues Gemma had experienced with him. The pair clashed after he said she was too big to be lifted.
Gemma said she respected Jason for his views, but acknowledged he was just “doing his job”. She continued: “I was fine with what he was saying about my skating but when he body-shamed me I felt embarrassed and I attacked back.
We all knew I was never going to be able to get lifted. Speaking about her fellow competitors, Gemma said: “I would have loved to have been span round for a count of eight but unfortunately I had to skate through my counts of eight.
Regardless of what happened, Gemma admitted she was happy to have started a weight-loss journey. She has already dropped an impressive 3.5 stone and has claimed the hard work will continue. Gemma said: “I’ve got to be honest, when I first stepped on the ice I’d do 10 minutes and sit down.
I didn’t realise how unfit I was. She went on: “People can see I can move. I gave it a go and I am a bigger girl.
