Emmerdale is lining up “explosive” scenes in the New Year, as villain Kim Tate, who was behind the death of Joe Tate, returns.
Spoilers for 2019 are in, and the ITV soap’s executive producer Jane Hudson has promised big stuff on the cards after a “dramatic” Christmas for the Dingles. Actress Claire King returned as the killer character in October as part of the soap’s big week, over 20 years after her exit.
But after being sent back to prison, with Joe’s death still a secret to the villagers and his fiancée Debbie Dingle, it was confirmed she would be back in the New Year. Jane revealed: “Although Kim’s initial return was fleeting, she caused such mischief and chaos that we simply couldn’t resist bringing her back.
“Kim Tate is just getting warmed up for an explosive 2019 which will see her hell-bent on getting exactly what, and who, she wants.”
Meanwhile, details on what she has planned, and who she will target, are yet to be confirmed. It’s also not known whether she will reignite her romance with Graham Foster, who is currently struggling with his guilt after he murdered Joe for Kim.
