Emmerdale viewers saw Cain Dingle arrested and questioned twice last week as the police dig deeper into the case of missing Joe Tate. Scenes previously aired have shown Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) have ultimate control over the situation, while Cain is currently being framed for the supposed death of the young businessman.
This week however, viewers are going to see the power shift as the next stage in Graham’s sinister plan backfires. In a scene aired in Friday night’s episode, those watching at home tuned in to see Graham plant Joe’s watch, which was covered in blood, in a drawer in Cain’s garage.
Whilst Cain is initially rumbled by the police turning up with a search warrant, he manages to deter their interest.
In a storyline twist, official soap spoiler pictures have shown Cain holding the watch and confronting a worried Graham at Home Farm. Does this mean Cain finds the watch before the police do and what does this mean for Graham now?
It can be assumed Cain will keep hold of the watch instead of returning it to Graham, but is he at risk from a family member finding it? It could also be suggested that Cain will give Debbie the watch as a keepsake from her former fiancé as a way to try and salvage their relationship.
But it seems the police aren’t the only ones asking questions about Joe’s last movements. Sarah Sugden isn’t blind to the anger her mother has been displaying recently towards her grandfather and in upcoming scenes, she is going to question what Cain has done to upset Debbie.
With conflict rife in their family, Sarah is convinced Debbie Dingle is keeping something from her.
Knowing she cannot keep pretending, Debbie will have a heart-to-heart with her daughter and try to explain. But does this just encourage Sarah to dig deeper? And will this mean she accidentally stumbles upon Joe’s watch in Debbie’s possession.
