All hell broke loose on the ITV show last month when panellist Coleen Nolan, 53, came face-to-face with her Celebrity Big Brother nemesis Kim Woodburn, 76. In what turned out to be the most explosive episode of Loose Women ever, a segment titled ‘Can Coleen and Kim end their feud?’ ended with the ladies slinging insults at one another.
Many viewers expressed the view that Kim — who fled the set mid-taping — was ganged up on by the panel, with Ofcom receiving over 3000 complaints about the interview. Following the shock scenes, Coleen — who later appeared on This Morning to reveal she had been subjected to vile abuse from trolls — announced she was taking a hiatus from the show.
Daily Star Online spoke with Nolan’s long-time co-star Nadia Sawalha last night, as the actress-turned-presenter participated in the Red Runway Charity Fashion Show in association with Barnardo’s National FGM Centre. Talking about the dramatic showdown between Coleen and Kim, Nadia told us: “The whole thing has been upsetting for everybody. Revealing the panelists are standing by the Nolan sister, she added: Everybody’s in contact with her. Everybody’s supporting her, and we can’t wait to have her back on the show.
Coleen announced her hiatus from Loose Women in a statement posted on her official Twitter profile, and has yet to publicly discuss her return to the show. However, the star’s fans needn’t worry, as Nadia confirmed Coleen will definitely be making a comeback. The mum-of-two said: “Oh God, yes. Yes. I don’t know, I’ll probably find out tomorrow because I’m on the show then. During a teary-eyed appearance on This Morning, Coleen revealed online bullies had made reference to her late sister Bernie, who died of cancer in 2013.
The starlet received tweets saying ‘Why can’t you die like your sister. Discussing the impact of trolls, Nadia told us she refuses to give them the time of day. The TV starlet explained: “I’ve never been upset by what a troll says. I never pay them any heed at all. Some people have to go through horrendous things, like Coleen.
