Strictly Come Dancing 2019: Holby City star Rosie Marcel drops HUGE hint over joining show

STRICTLY COME DANCING 2019 could have found its latest recruit as Holby City actress Rosie Marcel has hinted she wouldn’t turn down the opportunity of dazzling on the dance floor if the opportunity came knocking.

Rosie, 41, is best known for portraying cut throat Holby City consultant Jac Naylor on the BBC medical drama, however, the actress could soon be swapping the wards for the bright lights of Strictly Come Dancing.

This weekend, the first part of the Holby City and Casualty crossover event will begin, which sees Jac and her colleague/nemesis Connie Beauchamp thrown into turmoil as the hospital is struck by a terrifying cyber attack, leading to a huge decision about which of their colleagues to save with one operating theatre in operation.

Ahead of the much anticipated crossover, Rosie was joined by Casualty star Shaheen Jafargholi, 22, who plays nurse Marty on the Saturday night drama, on Lorraine to discuss the event.

First asking about jungle reality show I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! having been heavily rumoured to sing up in the past, Rosie said: “Every year this comes up.”

Shocked by the admission Rosie could venture Down Under, Shaheen replied: “I would love to see that, I’m not going to lie.

Rosie then responded: “It would be lovely to do, but we’ll see,” before Lorraine turned the actresses attention to possibly gracing the dance floor of Strictly.

Revealing she had never been asked to take part, Rosie admitted: “In 14 years, Strictly have never actually approached me, in the entire time I’ve been [on Holby]. The actresses jokingly added: “I’m very upset about the whole situation,” before admitting: “Who knows? I mean anything could happen could’t it.”

Since journalist Stacey Dooley, 31, took the Strictly crown alongside professional dancer Kevin Clifton, 36, in December, the rumour mill has been in overdrive on who will be joining this year’s line-up.
