Strictly Come Dancing bid farewell to another dancing duo this Sunday. After being voted into the bottom two by judges and viewers, Ashley Roberts and Graeme Swann were forced to give their all in the dance-off with their partners Pasha Kovalev and Oti Mabuse.
Graeme and Oti performed a Quickstep to “Sing Sing Sing” by The Andrews Sisters, and Ashley and Pasha performed their Samba to “Hot Hot Hot” by Arrow. And while both pairs gave a show-stopping performance, it wasn’t enough to keep the former English cricketer in the competition, making him the ninth celebrity to leave.
Judges Craig Revel Horwood and Darcey Bussell praised Ashley’s performance for being more “technically efficient”. Meanwhile, Bruno Tolioni branded the two “much stronger on every level”, while Shirley Ballas agreed.
Sunday night’s show also marked the first time that Ashley has found herself in the dance-off, despite being joint second top of the leaderboard with a score of 43. And it seems that viewers at home still have a lot to say about the former singer, who has previously come under fire for having professional dance experience.
